No. Your iPhone's microphone hears each shot and times it. No extra gear.

Does it work for dry fire?

Yes. In Dry Fire it catches the trigger click, so you can train at home with no ammo.

Do I need an Apple Watch?

No. The Watch is optional: start the timer on your wrist and see your time without touching the iPhone.

Does it work at a range with no signal?

Yes. Sessions, runs and photos are saved on the iPhone first and sync when there is a connection. An account is optional.

Is it a certified match timer?

No. It is a training tool: times come from the iPhone microphone and are shown to the thousandth of a second.

Is Shot Session free?

It is free to download. Starting a training session needs Shot Session Pro, and the app shows the plans for your country before you subscribe.
